The two-handed weapons are obviously slower but more powerful than their one-handed counterparts, able to take out regular enemies with a few simple attacks. However they are useful for striking out with quick attacks, taking down single Wanderers or fending back a crowd of them with a swipe. One-handed weapons in Metal Gear Survive don’t excel at damage, and pale in comparison to both firearms and heavier two-handed weapons like the Bat. It’s up to you to decide which weapons to take out on any given mission with you, but note that weapons aren’t that easy to come across in Metal Gear Survive.
